So we totally don’t need to buy many toys for Max. He makes toys out of everything. Its fun to watch him figure out how stuff works. I’m a big fan of the learning through play philosophy. Last week I was folding laundry in Max’s room while he was playing in our hall closet. I have household items at his level that are Max approved. I also have an open box of granola bars from Costco. He started playing with the granola bars with one in each hand and he was making lots of noise doing it. Then it got quiet for a while so I checked on him. He had bitten holes in each package and was eating chunks of them. There wasn’t much left of either. I went to get the camera and he took off like a (crawling) shot into his room. I never said, “No” or anything like that but he just knew it wasn’t the best idea apparently.
The discarded evidence:
Max playing with the granola bar and sticking his tongue out.
